Getting The Most Out Of Filter Photography:

Interested in filter photography but don’t yet have a camera? There are literally hundreds of cameras to choose from. As of however, the best cameras for the money are the Nikon D40 and the Nikon D90.

The 6 megapixel Nikon D40 is the best camera you can get for the price. It is superior to the Canon Xsi and the Canon 50D not only because of the price, but because of the quality of the photos and the available lenses. There is little digital noise when taking pictures with the D40 so you won’t get the graininess apparent with cheap cameras.  The camera can take extremely clear pictures at high ISO settings (up to 1600).  2.5 pictures per second.

Similar to the D40, the D90 is the big brother to the D40. The D90 can take movie clips, has double the megapixels at 12 megapixels, 3 inch LCD that has 930,000 pixels in the LCD viewer, has live view capabilities (view your image uninterrupted when taking pictures), and an HDMI port. My favorite is the 4.5 shots per second feature that lets you hold down the shutter button and take pictures without having to “wait for the perfect pose”. Imagine the possibilities.
